Milford Living Plans Given the Go-Ahead
The Auckland City Council has approved planning consents for New Zealand Retail Property Group (NZRPG) to begin development of residential and retail expansion at Milford Centre on Auckland’s North Shore.
The development will include the addition of 167 high end apartments on the site. The luxury 2-3 bedroom apartments will couple contemporary design with dynamic and green shared spaces. In addition, NZRPG will be refurbishing and invigorating the existing retail precinct, providing new entertainment and hospitality offerings.
“This decision has been a long time in the making and is the result of a lot of hard work and consultation. We are excited about what this development will deliver for the Milford area,” says NZRPG spokesperson Sara Johnson.
The positive hearing outcome was the result of a long process of consultation between NZRPG, the Milford Business Association and community. The Milford development will further evolve Milford’s existing identity and be a step towards a more progressive town centre.
“The development is high quality and is about Milford evolving as a town centre,” says Johnson.
The Milford plans include a 2,500 square metre expansion and ambience upgrade of its existing retail premises. There will be a range of new dining, entertainment and shopping options, which the wider Milford community can enjoy.
